and means two in the designer’s mother tongue, explores the notion that singularity in meaning and perception is nearly impossible. Inspired by the poem ‘Still I Rise’ by Maya Angelou, the civil rights movement and the work of artist Lorna Simpson, this visual journal reflects upon how everything and anything can mean and be taken in multiple ways.
